Emily Stevenson

President

Emily is a Senior majoring in Software Engineering. She joined Paws for a Cause during the fall of her freshman year when she fell in love with the idea of working with dogs to better the lives with others. She is currently fostering Biscuit and has previously worked with 3 other 4 Paws for Ability dogs. Emilly is thrilled to share the mission of Paws for a Cause. Shannon Albert

Vice President

Shannon is senior psychology major with minors in Spanish and Global Perspectives on Sustainability. This past school year they co-raised Magna from Guiding Eyes for the blind, who is a medical release but is moving on to another service dog school, Dogs for Better Lives, to continue her training. Shannon’s favorite part about Paws for a Cause is the welcoming community who is not only so dedicated to our work, but is also full of dog lovers.

 
 
 
 

Megan Walston

Treasurer

Megan is a current junior studying Robotics Engineering and Spanish. She joined Paws for a Cause in the fall semester of 2022. Although she has only been a sitter with Guiding Eyes for the Blind so far, she is getting her first foster pup in the fall of 2024. Megans favorite part about Paws for a Cause is that it brings together a group of people who care about helping people and dogs alike.

 
 
 
 

Jessica Schmitz

Secretary

Jessica is a Senior majoring in Primary Education. She joined Paws for a Cause in the Fall of her Freshman year. She has fostered Apoc and Jess, who have both been placed as service dogs, and is currently fostering Stormy through 4Paws for Ability. Jessica’s favorite part of Paws is getting to watch our pups learn and grow, and see what they go on to do! Additionally, she loves the sense of community amongst our members, and all of the friends she has made through Paws.

 
 
 
 

Alex Stalzer

Fundraising Chair

Alex is a second-year architecture student with a minor in art and architecture history. She joined Paws for a Cause in the fall of 2023 and is a sitter for 4Paws for Ability and Guiding Eyes for the Blind. She loves this club because of the friends she’s made, the events put on and the good we do for the community! This year, she is looking forward to putting on more fundraisers that get the dogs involved as well as general members, fosters, and sitters!

 
 
 
 

Laurel Logemann

Awareness Chair

Laurel is a second year studying Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. She joined Paws for a Cause her Freshman fall semester, but has been involved in puppy raising sinch high school. She just received her first foster, Moni, from CircleTail and cannot wait to work with future dogs. Her favorite part about being a part of Paws is being surrounded by such amazing people who want to see each other succeed.

Volunteer Chair

Grace is a sophomore majoring in Kinesiology and Pre-Med. She has been a member since the fall of her freshman year. She is a sitter with CircleTail and will be getting her first foster in the fall! Her favorite thing about Paws is getting to answer people’s questions about the organization as it helps spread awareness for our cause! In the future, she hopes to be approved through Guiding Eyes for the Blind, as well as 4 Paws for Ability!

Ally is a 5th year majoring in public health and microbiology. She joined her freshman year, and has fostered Sting as well as Onyx who she adopted as a flunky! Her favorite thing about the org is meeting new people, and her favorite memory is adopting Onyx

 
 
 
 

Megan Tracy

Marketing Chair

Megan is a senior majoring in Architecture with a minor in American Studies. She joined Paws for a Cause in the fall of her freshman year and is a raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Currently, she is raising her first GEB dog, Candy, a black lab. Megan is excited to see Candy take the next steps in her career this August. After Candy moves onto harness training, Megan looks forward to raising her next puppy. Megan’s favorite part of Paws for a Cause is experiencing the growth and learning of the dogs while they are on campus with us.
